This season, it’s so important to us to give back to local charities and organizations that support members of the community. Taking care of one another is what the holidays are all about, after all. This year, we have donation areas set up at both of our locations for two local charitable organizations: the Angel Project and Socks for Hope.
The Angel Project is a local charitable organization that provides support and care for patients in Complex Care Units. They believe that the smallest things make the biggest difference, so they are asking for:
- Cozy twin-sized blankets, throws, and/or quilts
- Pyjamas
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Nail clippers
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Lip balm
- Disposable razors and shaving cream
- Combs and brushes
- Body lotion
- Toiletry bags
In addition, we have a tree set up in support of Socks for Hope: a nonprofit organization for vulnerable people experiencing homelessness and hardship in Hamilton and Halton. Socks are the least donated item in shelters, so to make a donation, bring a pair of new socks and hang them on our tree!
